Grange Park, Cheltenham

The management company for this suite of offices, Fisher Germain, wished to bring some colour and life to their development and gave me the brief of bringing the outside in. I produced a range of designs of various styles and sizes and the company eventually went with a segment of a William Morris design.

The mural is over 4 floors and we decided to use scaffolding instead of a scissor lift as the floors weren't strong enough to sustain the weight of a lift. As the offices were being used during the installation, I couldn't use spray paint due to the fumes and dust, therefore standard household silk emulsion was used instead. This also enables the walls to be wiped clean if necessary.

Grange Park celebrates award for focus on sustainability and wellbeing

Grange Park, one of the region’s most sought-after business parks, is experiencing significant success, with a major letting soon to be announced and an award for its strong commitment to sustainability and occupier wellbeing.

The park's commitment to sustainability has been recognised with a prestigious Green Apple Gold Environment Award in the Property & Estate Management: Offices Habitat & Diversity category. The award by the Green Organisation highlights the park's environmental achievements, including ongoing initiatives to reduce its ecological footprint and create a green, eco-friendly environment for its occupiers.

Grange Park is being developed with occupier’s wellbeing in mind. It offers a working environment that encourages collaboration, productivity, and a sense of community. The north end of The Street, the impressive 200m long atrium running the length of the building, has been transformed with a 15m high mural created by Andy ‘Dice’ Davies, local artist and director of Cheltenham Paint Festival. Andrew said, “This was an interesting challenge and the biggest indoor mural I’ve ever undertaken. I interpreted a mid-19th century design by William Morris to meet the brief of bringing the parkland into the building, into The Street”.
