Cheltenham Festivals

To celebrate Cheltenham Literature Festivals 75th anniversary, I was commissioned to paint a mural depicting their various festivals of Science, Literature, Music and Jazz. The team chose various representations; the Pump Rooms for music as it was the first of their festivals and was brought about after the end of the 2nd World War to bring some light and positivity, hence the light coming through the clouds; my son is the model for Literature, Lakecia Benjamin represents Jazz and Gustav Holst and his planets represents Science.

The mural is hand painted with household emulsions as the offices were in constant use.
